Placing a decorative sticker on the windowpane can add an exquisite touch to a room. Using a decorative wall sticker instead of a black or white board in a room to leave notes for the family and for yourself, or in a child’s room so that they have their own space for painting or drawing, can also add a special touch.

Speaking of children’s rooms, options available for decorative stickers include retro comic strips, fun and funky graffiti stickers, pink or black bubbles, pirate galleons and more. Some manufacturers also have customised stickers for a child’s room.

Manufacturers are offering beautiful window films or stickers as alternatives to blinds and curtains for homes, and as practical solutions for office glass partitions and retail shop windows. These designer stickers or films come in a broad range of designs that suit all styles of contemporary homes.

Window decals are made from a transparent poly vinyl material with an adhesive backing. These decals are easy to set up in homes, store fronts and on any glass surface in business settings or otherwise. After affixing, one window decal can last three or more years inside or outside with proper care and maintenance. There are three main types of decals: clear window decal, opaque window decal and perforated window decal. All three decal types are a signage option that come with an adhesive backing and are designed for windows.

Window decals are not the same thing as wall decals. Although the window and wall decals are both made from an adhesive vinyl, the window decal is a semi-permanent solution that cannot be repositioned whereas wall decals are designed to be repositioned on a regular basis and use a low-quality adhesive to accomplish the pasting.

Speaking about window decors, a city-based interior designer said, “Nowadays, decorative window shields are popular among those who use plain glass for their windows instead of laminated glass. We have a wide range of decorative film foil stickers for windows. Our glass decoration is available in two variants, frosted film and colourful images. The colourful images can be customised according to the need of the customer. Frosted stickers combine ornaments and floral shapes, and because they are not see-through, they protect you from unwanted prying eyes. “Also, we have window decals, used to decorate laminated and plain window glasses. These are popular and versatile signage solutions for big and small businesses alike. Our custom window decals are semi-permanent and come with an adhesive backing. Decals offer an easy to install and effective signage option for businesses and homeowners. Window decals are popular as they are easy to put on the glass and also easy to remove, but they are meant for one-time use only, so they cannot be reused, once applied. The cost of such decals is less compared to window stickers,” he added.

Window stickers and decals are available in interior design stores. Although you can get a wide range of colours and sizes from online shopping sites, it is better to go with local shops where you can get installation help and suggestions for the right design for your window.
