"It's yet another reason why this is the best job I'll ever have."

The Boys season 3 episode 1 spoilers follow.

You'd think that there would only be room for one giant dick in The Boys, and no, we're not just talking about Homelander. Remember back in season two when "Love Sausage" made us question the mechanics of superhero junk, not to mention the existence of God?

Well, that stretchy skin flute he wields is nothing compared to the "11ft-high, 20ft-long penis" that The Boys built for season three. And "at great expense" too, showrunner Eric Kripke adds during our exclusive chat with him about that scene.

Yes, you know the one. Early on in the first episode of season three, we meet a few so-called heroes doing the nasty, as you so often do in The Boys. But no one could have predicted quite how nasty things would get. Because when one guy tells the other, "I want you inside of me," he doesn't mean Brokeback Mountain-style.

Sans lube, that's already a horror story waiting to happen, but it turns out these charming young men don't need lube at all because one of them can actually shrink himself down, like Ant-Man. So when this guy "goes inside", he quite literally goes inside the other man with his entire body. And it's not the anus he ventures into either.

Using those extremely versatile gifts of his, our teeny-tiny hero shrinks down and starts rubbing the other guy's penis. From the inside.

That's right. As you might imagine, the inner walls of the urethra are mighty sensitive, so the larger guy gets off on having the inside of his penis rubbed by the ant-sized man who's so small, he needs both hands to get the job done.

However, the regular-sized guy probably wishes he was a size queen in hindsight, because all of a sudden, the man inside sneezes, thereby losing control of his powers. And you know what that means. Cue The Boys' version of Ant-Man exploding through his lover's penis and then whole body, ripping him to shreds as he returns to normal size.

Guess he was a grower and a shower.

Back in season one, a miniature hero dived head-first into a woman's vagina, but that resulted in a much more pleasurable kind of explosion. And there was a lot less blood then too.

Following that climax, Frenchie and Kimiko then walk in and end up fighting the little guy before Butcher arrives with a thimble of coke that overwhelms him completely.

But where did the idea for this cock destroyer come from in the first place?

"It came from a deep sickness," jokes Eric Kripke. And he's not wrong! But there's actually more to it than that.

"We just knew for the longest time that there was an opening sequence where Kimiko and Frenchie fought a superhero. It was 'TBD Superhero'. We really only come up with the crazy stuff at the very, very end, once the story and the character arcs are already really locked into place. Only then do we go back."

By this point, the writers had started scrolling through Marvel and DC icons to make fun of the heroes who hadn't been parodied on the show yet. And that's when Ant-Man reared his little, perverted head.

"At the time, there was that sort of meme going around of: why didn’t Ant-Man just crawl up Thanos’s butt and blow him up? (It would have been a short movie). So the first pitch was: well, let’s send our character up a guy’s butt, and blow him up, so we can give the audience what they wanted with Ant-Man, but couldn’t get from Marvel."

Genius, right? What could go wrong?

"But then, hilariously, someone else said, 'Yeah, but isn't an ass explosion something we did in season 1 with Translucent?'" RIP that see-through monster.

"It's wonderful to work on a show," says Eric, "where an ass explosion is on the table but then someone says, 'We did that.' And there's only so many orifices a guy has. So then it became a very logical step."

So we have both Marvel and logic to blame for the show's wildest sex scene yet, which really is saying something on The Boys. And yes, we weren't kidding earlier when we described the specific dimensions of that giant wang they built on set.

"Shooting it was so bananas," adds Kripke, "because we built that penis practically. So that is an 11ft-high, 20ft-long penis built at great expense." Big enough to make make Love Sausage blush, we think.

And what's most beautiful about this is that Paul Rudd will finally be able to take some comfort from that giant, extremely expensive penis. Because back when fans first suggested that Ant-Man should explore Thanos' most safely-guarded gem, the Marvel star said this was a "lost opportunity" for his character. But now, three years later, The Boys is finally making his dreams come true.

And you can't put a price on that.
